Atletico Madrid confirmed that striker Mario Mandzukic will undergo surgery due to an injury to his nose playing for Atletico against Olympiacos in the Champions League on Tuesday (09/16/2014). The plan, the operation will take place on Thursday and have not known how long would be absent.
Mandzukic, who joined the Primera Division champions Bayern Munich in the summer with a contract duration of four years, suffered a broken nose as a result of elbow Pajtim Kasami hit early in the game that took place in the Karaiskakis Stadium.
